Improved seamless maps

Our texture maps are not only seamless, they are specifically made to provide you with the best possible tiling to avoid the common problem of bad patterns and visible tile seams.

All the maps are made tileable by hand and are checked by the artist to ensure quality and true seamless mapping; this increases the tiling limit that you can tile the texture map on your 3d model. Just one of the many ways "Textures to the Max" is already different from all other texture products on the market.

One of the most important steps in our texture editing process is that we strive to retain the "life" and the random beauty of nature for each tileable texture even when you increase the amount of tile repetitions.

Many texture products on the market use the common technique of using the same map in both the diffuse and the bump setting. In many cases we consider this isn't enough to achieve a realistic and artistically satisfying texture. To this end we build an additional custom bump map.

From the real world

Our photographers are also 3D artists. They shoot the real world according to their "mental renderer".
Before a texture is even created each map is studied for its final use and the kind of texture it will ultimately become.
All maps are made with a camera and high-end film. We don't use digital cameras or fractal algorithms.

This ensures superb detail and color fidelity to the original subject. Be sure to check our "Browse" and "Gallery" sections.

Our textures maps are guaranteed shadowless and reflectionless because we all know these effects must be produced in the rendering.
